HOLIDAYS & BREAKS

Castle Fine Art Drawing & Painting Workshops

at Crake Trees Manor, Crosby Ravensworth in the Lake District

“awe inspiring and dramatic landscapes … small villages with a host of fascinating corners”

Imagine spending glorious days creating art with like minded souls under big skies capturing the magic of mountains, lakes and expansive vistas.

This is the Eden Valley, an undiscovered area of beauty with small market towns like Appleby in Westmorland, nestling between its castle and the river, and Kirkby Stephen. Elsewhere in the valley are ruined castles, fascinating houses and glorious gardens with the ever present fells just waiting to be painted and drawn by you.

The Valley and the surrounding areas are a dream location for painting and drawing, you will receive dedicated tuition from the working artist, Mark Hilsden benefiting from his experience, informal practical approach and knowledge of the area. The course will be a mixture of exploring the area, Plein Air and studio work. With instruction and demonstration of techniques as required.
